Salaar Movie Review
The mind-numbing power of unrelenting violence is on full display in the unapologetically gory Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. Furthermore, the plot revolves around Khansaar’s vast mythology, which depicts a lawless land ruled by menacing crime lords. The story begins in 1985, when two childhood friends, Deva (Prabhas) and Vardha (PrithvirajSukumaran), are introduced. Vardha’s father (JagapathiBabu) fought his way to the throne by defeating two local rival tribes, and he now rules over this violent city. As the story progresses, this reunion leads to a shocking revelation that threatens to derail their friendship. Overall, Salaar is a very well written movie and it is a must watch for every Prabhas fan.
Fans rejoice
Meanwhile, following the release of the film, fans celebrated in front of several theaters in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Images of people entering theaters early Friday morning to watch the first day first show were making the rounds on social media. However, Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ celebrations in Mumbai were low-key. Massive cut-outs can still be seen outside city cinemas.
Salaar’s Box Office Collection Update
According to preliminary estimates, the film shattered the domestic box office collection by earning Rs 95 crore on its first day. In fact, PrithvirajSukumarn posted on X that the film earned Rs 178.7 crore globally.
